Weed smoker gives his life to Christ!
This is a note I received from Debbie White, one of the newest Dream Team members of Hope Church of McDonough…
“Pastor, Debbie White here….I just got off the phone with a call I made trying to get a roommate to live here to help me pay the house note…. called a guy name Charles….we talked about my home and location… in the conversation he told me he smoked weed….and I immediately sensed the Holy Spirit telling me to talk to him….I told him that he was looking to fill a void within that can only be filled with God…not sex, alcohol, weed, or material things…and that God loved him so much and wanted to give him peace, comfort, and love….I talked with him for 21 minutes…and led him to the Lord… praise the Lord… it was awesome that God used me….however, I gave him your office number on the card you gave me last night and told him to call you for help….he wants to quit and be a member of our church….I began to tell him how special he was to God, that he was the apple of His eye, and that God would clean him up….not man….and he didn’t have to wait to be ‘cleaned’ up.”
“Anyway, Pastor, he is wanting to be helped… that’s just how good God is….All we have to say is…God use me…and He will!!!!!! Anyway, I counseled him with acceptance with a non-judgemental attitude and Charles was so receptive…He is in his 40′s and never asked Jesus into his heart before….Don’t you know the angels in heaven are rejoicing!!!!!! I told him it wasn’t by fate, that God used me to call him to let him know that He loved him and wanted him for His own…God is just so unique for lack of better words….imagine…God used a telephone call to reach out to this guy and saved his wretched soul…what a good God we serve…Through my own experiences and tramatic past I am seeing and am on the receiving end of God’s grace and unconditional love….it’s just AWESOME!!!!! Pastor, let’s talk about the HOPE ….for our hope comes from Jesus alone!!!!!! I know, I’m living in it!!!!! Let’s celebrate!!!! I no longer am a victim, but a VICTOR in Jesus Christ!!!!”
