Sunday recap…An amazing Christmas celebration!
What an amazing Christmas celebration at Hope Church!- We had a packed house and had to use extra chairs; tons of guests and first timers worshipping with us.
- Huge shout out to our band & singers who arrived crazy early on Christmas morning to rehearse and lead us in song…you guys were amazing! Here’s the list of songs that we did: This Is My Desire, God Is Able, With Everything, Never Let You Go, Oh Holy Night, and Silent Night.
- So proud of our PlanetHope kids for coming in and breaking us off with something special for Christmas. They were nervous, but they all did a great job! Huge thanks to Pastor Garth & Doreen Henton and their team of volunteers for all the hard work they put in.
- This hilarious little video of “The Christmas Story” was played right before my sermon…it got lots of laughs! Click here.
- Preached a passionate Christmas message composed of this short story written by Dr. John Piper in 2007, entitled, “A Kind of Christmas Tale.”
- We asked our folks to bring blankets to our Christmas celebration so that we could warm homeless folks around our city, but before it was all said and done, we had enough blankets, shoes, boots, and winter coats to warm more than 200 families!! The picture above only shows some of the blankets…blown away by your response & your generosity. Thank you Hope Church!!
- Looking forward to next Sunday as we blast full speed into a brand new and exciting year.
