Building Our Team!

I want to share how excited I am about the way God is building His team to launch this incredible movement of Hope! To do that I want to share an actual example. So I’ve asked Mary Held to tell you, in her own words, how she became a part of our launch team:
“I randomly met Pastor Maurice in a class while working on my degree at a Christian university. I met him in a class that I almost didn’t take! It was the last day to sign up for classes and I decided at the last minute to add one more class to my schedule. I chose the day and time simply because it was my only slot of availability… but little did I know the divine connection God had planned for me!
I quickly admired Pastor Maurice’s humility, his biblical knowledge, and his committment to souls as he would share in our class, and one evening during our class we ended up in the same study group and he shared his view of the modern church (which is what our group was studying). I really liked what he was saying! I had longed for a church that was “different” yet relevant, powerful, and committed to life-change through the gospel instead of religiosity.
After class that evening he told me that he and his wife were planting Hope Church in Henry County, and asked me to prayerfully consider joining them! Over the next few days I found I could hardly think about anything else. I began to burn with passion to plant this church, and I knew it was God’s plan for me!
I encourage you to pray and see if God is calling you to join us in reaching Henry County for Christ!”
